FunTokenz resellers in Port Moresby

Port Moresby is the busiest place in the country for cash-to-digital top-ups, and it is also the hardest place to get a bank card. Most people in Moresby are paid in cash or by fortnightly pay packet, and a huge share of the city banks informally — through wantoks, through trade stores, and through the markets at Gordons, Boroko, Koki and Waigani. That is exactly the gap a FunTokenz agent fills.

An agent in Port Moresby is usually a trade store, a phone-and-airtime kiosk, a betting shop counter or a small office inside one of the shopping centres along Waigani Drive, Hubert Murray Highway or Ela Beach Road. You walk in with kina in your hand, tell the agent how much you want, pay, and walk out with a FunTokenz code on a printed slip or sent to your phone. Nothing is deducted from a bank account, because there is no bank account involved.

Traffic and distance matter in Moresby. Rather than travelling to town, most customers use the agent closest to their settlement or workplace — Gerehu, 8-Mile, 9-Mile, Erima, Tokarara, Hohola, Konedobu or Badili. If the agent nearest you is closed, any other agent in the city can serve you; the codes are identical no matter who issues them.
