What a reseller does

A reseller sells FunTokenz codes to customers who do not have a bank card. The customer tells you how much they want, pays you in cash, and you issue them a FunTokenz code from your reseller dashboard. The code is a bearer instrument — the value sits in the code itself — so the customer can spend it online immediately at any merchant that accepts FunTokenz, whether or not they have a FunTokenz account. If the customer does not have an account, you can create one for them at the counter in a few seconds. The whole transaction usually takes under two minutes.

You are not holding stock, running a franchise or signing a lease. You are converting cash into a digital code for people who cannot do that themselves. Most of our resellers are trade stores, phone and airtime kiosks, betting shop counters, internet cafés, and small business owners who already handle cash daily.

What you earn

You set your own commission, up to 20% of the face value of every token you sell. It works like this: you pay FunTokenz the face value using your card, and your customer pays you the face value plus your commission in cash. So if you sell a K100 token at a 10% commission, your customer hands you K110, you pay K100, and K10 stays in your pocket immediately. There is no waiting for a monthly payout and no invoicing. Your margin is collected at the point of sale, in cash, by you.

Tokens can be denominated in either PGK or USD, with a minimum of 25 kina per token. Kina amounts are converted at the live exchange rate at the moment of purchase, so you always know exactly what you are paying before you confirm.

What you need to start

Three things. First, a place customers can find you — a shop, a stall, a kiosk or a counter in a town or settlement. Second, a card you can use to pay FunTokenz for the tokens you issue; that is your working capital, and it comes straight back to you when your customer pays cash. Third, a phone or computer with an internet connection to reach your reseller dashboard. You do not need a business licence to apply, though established businesses are approved faster.

How you get paid

You are paid instantly, in cash, by your own customer. There is no commission cycle to wait out and no minimum sales target. Every sale is recorded in your dashboard so you can see exactly what you have issued and what you have earned, and you can reprint or resend any code a customer has lost.
